Have you ever wondered about the Blue Forest? Hallerbos. I am sure not and nor do I before I visited it. Well, I discovered one more place for beautiful pictures. Here you can see some photos. I am going to share some details about the forest. Belgium is full of wonderful places and this is one of them.
The Hallerbos Forest also called ” The Blue Forest” is famous due to the huge amount of bluebells that blossom in the area every year. The bluebells are only blooming each year once and for only just a few weeks. That’s why it’s important to plan your trip according to the season.
It’s true that the Hallerbos Forest is always beautiful It’s one of those fairytale-like places that never loses its sparkle. But I’m going to add… It’s even more beautiful when the bluebells bloom!

Hallerbos location
This Blue Carpet is situated in Belgium. It is situated in a Brabant area. The Halle is the city where this forest is located and that is the reason it is known as Hallerbos.
Transport
By Train
Direct train connections are available from Brussels to Halle. It takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Halle from the Brussels-Central station. You can find the train station in Halle once you have arrived.
- You can either take the bus to the stop Vlasmarkt’ on working days or to the stop Essenbeek Mooi Vergezicht on weekends and holidays. It is only a 15-minute walk from this stop to the entrance to the forest.
- You can rent or ride a bicycle: The journey to the forest is approximately 4.5 km.
By Car
The forest can also be reached by car. You should keep in mind, however, that if it gets very crowded, the local authorities may close some roads. A shuttle bus will take you to the entrance to the forest. Google Maps is a good choice for the most up-to-date navigation. You will find the parkings near ‘Vlasmarktdreef Halle.
Food
If you think that you will have a cafe in the forest then stop right there because you will not see one.
