Hot Chocolate – classic method of preparing it​ !

So it is the official season of enjoying Hot Chocolate .

Do you know it is being said that the first hot chocolate was created around 2500 – 3000 years ago by Mayans? The hot chocolate became famous in Europe after it was introduced by Mexico. It was also used for treating liver and stomach disease in the past. Well, try to drink some if you have a stomach ache or a headache, I am sure you will feel a little better.

And let’s start with it :

Ingredients for 1 Cup
  1. 1/4th cup Milk (you can take of your choice: almond, cashew, hazelnut, etc.
  2. 1/2 cup Cream
  3. Sugar according to your taste
  4. Dark Chocolate bar – Chopped around 4oz. (used Corte dor 86%dark)
  5. 1 tbsp of Cocoa powder
  6. A drop of vanilla essence
  7. Marshmallows for topping and whipped cream

Method :
  1. Grate the Dark chocolate and keep it ready to mix in the milk.

2. Take a Milk in a deep non-stick pan and allow it boil on a medium flame.

3. After it boils , keep the flame on slow and add cream and mix it well and let it simmer for 2 or 3 mins .

4. After that add Sugar mix it well and then Add grated chocolate in it mix it well and allow it to melt in the Milk .

5.After it melts properly add Cocoa Powder to it. Mix it properly and add a drop of Vanilla essence. The whole procedure is being followed by a slow flame. keep stirring it occasionally.

6. Mix it well to avoid lumps.

7. Allow the hot chocolate mixer to simmer for 2 or 3 mins , but keep mixing .

Serve it warm with Croissant and some fruits that how I like it .

Tips:

  1. Follow the procedure on slow flame.
  2. Other Methods:
  3. You can also add Cinnamon to it
  4. Also with Nutella at the place of chocolate bars.
