Paneer Wrap – Perfect meal for a day-out on a weekend

You can prepare this wrap in 10 mins. So I am stealing this recipe from my Mom. Well, she cooks this wrap in 10 mins.

When kids are home you need something easy to cook and also full of vitamins and proteins. I have a recipe for all the moms out there. It is also a perfect meal for a picnic or a day out.

Ingredients for Paneer stuffing :

Ingredients for making Wrap:

Method :

First to make a Wrap

1.Take a big bowl, add all the ingredients for making wrap in the bowl and mix it very well. Knead it well and make a soft dough. Not too soft. Cover it properly and keep it aside for 10 mins and allow it to rest.

2.After giving it proper rest, again knead the dough with oil and make it smooth. Now make small balls from the dough (considering making a chapati from the balls ).

3. Roll it in a thin circle on the flat surface.

4. Take a non-stick Tava (flat pan) . Place the rolled uncooked chapatis on the Tava and cook it lightly. Not completely cooked. Make 3 to 4 wraps and keep it on the side

Method for paneer stuffing :

1. First make small cubes of Paneer (cottage cheese )

2. Take a non-stick pan .Put a flame on and add some oil in it .Allow it to heat it .

3. Add ginger and chili paste (garlic if you want ) and saute the paste for a minute on a slow flame .

4. Add chopped Green Bell Peppers(capsicum) in the pan and allow it to cook until it gets soft. Add chopped tomato and mix it well. Now add all the spices turmeric, chaat masala, and red chilli powder. And also salt as required (all the spices and salt you add is according to your requirement and taste ). Mix everything very well and allow it to cook. Be careful it’s not overcooked.

5. Now add Paneer cubes in the the pan and mix it well . Cook for 2 or 3 mins .

6. Add tomato ketchup (or schezwan sauce ) and mix very well. Cook for 1 min just to mix well. Cook until all the water is burned. Sprinkle coriander.

7. Remove from the flame and allow it to cool completely .

How to assemble the wrap

1.Place the lightly cooked wrap on the clean surface and dry surface.

2.Spread the ketchup or green chutney or any spread of your choice. If you are carrying it for a picnic you can also avoid the spread or apply it very lightly. Here we have ketchup on the wrap.

3. Now spread the mix of paneer in the center. You can sprinkle sliced onions over it and also some more chaat masala if you want.

4. Close the wrap from the both the sides and roast it on heated Tava to cook well. Serve it with your favourite sauce.

The above recipe is Jain .

If you are carrying it for a picnic ,roll the wrap in aluminum foil .

Tips :

1.You can use ready Tortillas to save more time.
2. You can add Onions and garlic also
