TACO CHAAT- Appropraite​ for your Holi party​ .

Taco is a very popular traditional Mexican dish. Chaat is a very popular Indian dish. Here I tried to create a fusion. Since Holi is arriving and it is incomplete without Chaat. I thought to experiment with something. After a long thinking process, this came into my mind.

Taco chaat looks perfect for the holi parties as a starter or appetizer. We all want to impress our guests. I always want to try something new and experiment. Always like to make it presentable. I must say I’ve learned about the hospitality from my mother. She is an amazing host. Trying something new every time and so warm towards everyone. So I try to be like her but I am not sure hahaha.

Here I am sharing the recipe of the fusion dish , Taco chaat .I am using Taco shells ready from the market .

Ingredients

1. Taco shells (ready from the market )

For The filling (chaat ingredients )

1. Mashed potatoes (I took 2 boiled potatoes )

2. Chopped tomatoes ( 1 and half tomatoes small chopped)

3. Chopped Onions ( I have used 1 big onion small chopped , it’s your choice )

4. Pomegranate

5. Chana dal Namkeen (snack)

6.Sweet chutney (Imli chutney used for bhel )

7. Spicy green chutney

8. Coriander

9. Salt

10. Chaat masala (the one that I have used )

11. Sev

12. lemon

13. Yoghurt (mixed with salt ,sugar and chaat masala )

If you still want to add something of your choice of course you can. You can add everything according to your taste.

Chopped cucumbers will be also an good option .

Method for Taco – Chaat

1. Take a big bowl add mashed potatoes ( mash it well)

2. Add chopped tomatoes and Onions , mix well .

3. Add Sweet Chutney and Green Chutney (I like sweet Chutney more so I have added it a little more compared to green)Mix everything very well

4. Add chana dal and pomegranate , mix them well .

5. Add Salt (as per your requirement ) , chaat masala, lemon and coriander . Mix everything very well .

6. After mixing all the ingredients that goes in the chaat . The mixer is ready .

7 . Keep yoghurt and sev for plating .

Assembling the Taco and the chaat

1.Take the Taco shells

2. Put the filling of Potato in it and repeat with all the taco shells .

3. Pour the yoghurt over it and sprinkle some sev over it .

4. Coriander is must .

Serve it with Sweet and Green Chutney .

Note :

Don’t keep it for longer period , it will become soft .

Thandai would be an amazing option along with it .

You can always make the changes according to your taste .
