Château Comtal
Dominating the entire town, straddled on a giant rock, Château Comtal suggests unrivaled impressions of the surrounding area. It is a medieval castle within the Cité of Carcassonne, the largest city in Europe with its city walls still unbroken. It was built in 1185 to proclaim the Count of Toulouse’s reign and was later augmented in the 13th century when a dungeon was expanded. The river Ouvèze
