December 44 Museum – Battle of the Bulge is a very informative museum
It has an outstandingly large collection of mainly local found relics.
Everything is very detailed and lovingly designed and explained. Most of the exhibits are in very good condition and you get a good idea of how it was then. The museum is full of uniforms, weapons, and war artifacts along with this “small” stuff. Do not expect tanks and howitzers. It has the added bonus of having a Tiger II, the King Tiger, in front of the museum. The tank belonged to Peiper. The biggest thing in this museum is Jeep Willis. The gift shop even includes items you can buy from actual world war 2, 80th airborne was also at this location. If you are in the vicinity you should definitely visit!
Spa is an incredible place that will always make you short of time but it’s worth visiting there to add a zest in your visit to Belgium.
