During the beguinage’s heyday, it was home to 200 beguines. Sint-Agnesbegijnhof has terraces of houses around a courtyard centered on a church. It’s fascinating for its wooden barrel-vaulted ceiling and the contrast between sparse elements of contemporary art. Along with the Baroque organ pulpit and various altars, It’s a church with fantastically well-preserved 38 murals painted between the early-1300s and 1600. These portray the apostles, episodes from saints’ lives, and Bible scenes. A World Heritage site is a few footsteps away waiting to be discovered. Ideal location for the concerts organized here often. Great gratitude to the excellent acoustics. Magnificent church.

Uitzicht over Sint-Truiden
Uitzicht over Sint-Truiden is one of the best tourist attractions in Sint Truiden. This is a really nice lookout formation. Very nice to visit in the blossom season. It’s not quite a tower but it has a neat big platform that’s spacious enough to hang out on. It offers a lovely cycling and walking route. Then right across is the local water reservoir, it’s the highest spot in the area. The view is really nice, you can see super far, so if you’re cycling around that area it’s absolutely worth a stop. towers of Sint-Truiden.
A really nice hiking place for your families and friends.
