Antwerp Chocolate Week
A chocolate lover’s paradise, the Antwerp Chocolate Week offers a tasting trail for everybody who likes chocolate. Chocolate Week is an initiative of Antwerp Koekenstad. Their purpose is to put Antwerp’s biscuits and chocolate in the limelight. Earlier this year, the Pateekesweek was fastened, which is completely concentrated on Antwerp biscuits and pastries. The Antwerp Chocolate Week is presently taking place. By means of a test route through the city, you will find out the nicest and most outstanding chocolatiers in Antwerp. As conventional you need the Chocolate Pass, which are sold at the Antwerp Tourism Office on the Grote Markt and in Antwerp-Central Railway Station. It was 10 euros for ten coupons.
Antwerp Pateekes Week
The Antwerp Pateekes Week is analogous to the Antwerp Chocolate Week, but then for pastries. You also require a pass, the Pateekes Pass, which sells for 10 euros for ten coupons. These passes are available at the Antwerp Tourism Office on the Grote Markt and in Antwerp-Central Railway Station. The chocolate and pateekes week together will take place from Friday, March 4, 2022, to Tuesday, March 15, 2022. The partaking businesses will be regulated in accordance with current government guidelines. It’s a takeaway tasting route for cookie and chocolate lovers. And we can promise you: that compels your city to walk a lot more fun – and tastier.
Chocolate Pass
To participate in the trial journey, you can purchase one or more chocolate passes. The Chocolate Pass costs 10 euros and contains 10 coupons. You can hand in these coupons at the participating chocolatiers. In exchange for 1 or 2 coupons, you get the most flavorful bonbons, pralines, truffles and chocolate bars. In addition to chocolate, you can also exchange them for coffee, ice cream, bubble tea, hot chocolate or cookie dough. The value of what you get is much higher than what you pay for a coupon. This way you can savour all varieties of delicious luxury chocolate commodities in an accessible and affordable way.
Walking to something tasty
To participate, purchase your outstanding ‘pass’ at the Visit Antwerp. The participating chocolatiers and patissiers also have stock. For 10 euros you get 10 receipts that you can trade for something delightful at the numerous locations. From pralines to a pastry, coffee or ice cream, there is plenty to choose from. In the brochure, you can already search which goodies are available.
Five participants
In Mortsel there are five places this year that put Chocolate & Pateekes Week in the limelight. These are Bonitas in Edegemsestraat, Leonidas Breugelmans and Michielsen bakery in Antwerpsestraat, Tartuffe in Pieter Reypenslei and The Chocolate Wizard in Statielei.
