How Important is it to Prepare The Body for Pregnancy?

It’s ideally appropriate to prepare 3-12 months in advance physically, mentally, and emotionally for conceiving. In order to facilitate a healthy environment for the little one coming we need to prepare the body from the fertilisation of the egg to birth. So why so long, is what many ask…well the reason is, we live in a world with extremely busy lives revolving around stress at work, unhealthy food habits  that are heavily dependent on highly processed foods, irregular sleep patterns, and being surrounded by home and personal care products that are full of toxic chemicals.

The first place to start is the mind, creating a positive mindset and intention with the changes needed to be made daily is the best way to prepare for pregnancy, to begin with. The mind has infinite potential and visualization of what you desire, for instance, a healthy child in your arms can work in a very positive way on the mind because visualization works on the subconscious mind telling it that the things we see are for real preparing the mind and body to act accordingly to achieve those things and make them into reality. Don’t believe it? Watch the popular Netflix documentary,  “ The Secret” based on a world famous book, or read the book.

A detox is not necessarily only cleansing the body. It also needs to be done for the environment where the body lives if it makes any sense.Gradually moving further into living in a safer environment by ridding your home of toxic chemical home care products and investing in more organic products is a good way to ensure an optimal fertility environment for the mother to be.

Preconception Cleansing

The gut is the most important organ when it comes to preparing the body for pregnancy and the best way to do that is a detoxification of the gut. The easiest and safest way to go with that is a step by step method wherein you start by first removing all processed foods and then introducing detoxifying foods and recipes that help cleanse the gut in a natural way.

Work with a holistic nutritionist or health coach to help you plan a natural detox with the help of lifestyle and dietary changes to prepare for a healthy and safe pregnancy.
